Cosmic Pendant

In my last post about beaded cherry blossoms, I mentioned the notion of utilizing part layout to order several smaller beaded parts into many different kinds of jewelry. This concept has been continued by me in my latest piece, this Cosmic Windows Pendant

A Pendant of Windows

This piece includes a total of six Cosmic Windows parts, organized in a tetrahedral geometry with a single part on all the six edges of the tetrahedron. This 3D organization provides a whole lot to the pendant of depth and dimensionality that photographs cannot completely capture. Here it's on its edge on a jewellery bust:

The chief tetrahedral body of the pendant is all about an inch and a half in diameter; around the side for a bead, but nearly too big for a pendant.

A Variation on the Bracelet

The Cosmic Windows style initially began as a bracelet, featuring six connected parts woven with Miyuki tila beads and seed beads, which come with each other to frame the irregular cosmic Swarovski crystals giving its title to the piece. Here's a photograph of the bracelet in its unique antique colorway:

With a bond for an ear wire plus a bit of beaded fringe, fancy matching earrings are also made by the Cosmic Windows components:

I utilized the same silver and blue colorway with this pendant:

Measurement and Symmetry

Each part within the pendant is joined together in the corners of the tetrahedron with Japanese seed beads and added briolette crystals. It took several attempts to get it to keep its shape, but I was surprised by how I did not desire that lots of added beads to affix the parts together (it did, however, demand many passes of thread!) A group of beaded fringe plus a beaded bond finish the pendant.

I am convinced that it could likewise make a really elaborate Christmas decoration too!

Purple Sakura Charms and Potential Arrangements
I created a fresh colorway for the Sakura Bouquet Necklace, which I am teaching in the BABE! Display this November.

Purple and Silver Sakura Charms

Four distinct colors of purple blend with silver to create this colorway. The four distinct beads used for the cherry blossom petals also provide various finishes, including clear, to luster, to the "magic" complete around the rizo beads.

It's still monochromatic, but it's more colour assortment compared to the first version.

Four Different Assortments of Sakura

The set features four different charms corresponding to four different types of sakura, and each one is woven in a somewhat different manner.

Forty Sakura Charms

Each category kit will comprise the substances to create a total of 40 charms. This really is really more charms than I found in the initial necklace, so students will have the ability to create of twelve additional charms. Here's a whole array of 40 of these:

Several Potential Arrangements

The amazing thing about these small blossoms is the fact that they are adaptable to many types of jewellery. They fit neatly into the notion of part layout, that's where you weave several beaded parts and join them together as you are creating the finished piece. It's a notion that advanced beaders might need to approach with these charms after getting the course, although it will not be the focus of my own class.
